Hello, I am a Lecturer of Economics in the Department of Finance and Economics at Texas State University. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Florida, an M.A. in Economics from Yonsei University, and a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the College of William & Mary.
My research interests are labor economics, the economics of education, political economy, and applied microeconomics.
My work examines how compensation, institutions, and individual characteristics shape labor market and educational outcomes. My research topics include teacher compensation and labor markets, STEM education, higher education outcomes such as retention and graduation, the evaluation of scholarship programs, and the effectiveness and productivity of state legislators.
